Send funds to Pakistan

Through HABIBMETRO Bank’s Home Remittance service, overseas Pakistanis can send funds to Pakistan under Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI), a joint initiative of State Bank of Pakistan, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Ministry of Finance. This facility of instant transfer of money is offered through our dedicated agents in various parts of the world.

HABIBMETRO account holders will have their remittance directly transferred to their accounts while non-customers can obtain cash instantly from any HABIBMETRO Bank or MCB Bank (through our correspondent arrangement) branch across Pakistan.

How can you get your payments?

For HABIBMETRO Account holders

As soon as the remittance is received, accounts of our customers are credited with the funds instantaneously. If the customer has subscribed to SMS alerts, the same are generated to the beneficiaries for their convenience.

For Cash Over Counter Payments

Beneficiaries, who do not maintain accounts with HABIBMETRO Bank branches, can collect their cash payments from any HABIBMETRO Bank and MCB Bank branches across Pakistan. You can receive your remittances by following a simple three-steps:

  • Step 1: Ask the sender/remitter for the payment reference number/Pin Code
  • Step 2: Visit any HABIBMETRO Bank and MCB Bank branch (as advised by the remitter) across Pakistan with the given payment reference/Pin Code and your original CNIC
  • Step 3: Collect your payment from the counter after completion of formalities. If mobile number has been provided, SMS alerts are generated to the beneficiaries for intimation.

For Other Bank Account Holders

If you are maintaining an account with any other bank in Pakistan, funds will be instantly transferred to your account through:

  • IBFT (Inter Bank Funds Transfer)
  • RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) / PRISM (Pakistan Real Time Interbank Settlement Mechanism
