Security Guidelines for Mobile Application

Quick Tips

HabibMetro Mobile Banking Application shall only be downloaded from HabibMetro Web Banking Application and never from any third party websites, this may pose a serious threat to your mobile banking account.

  • Register your Mobile Handsets using Device Management feature in Web Banking Application. For security seasons, you need to register your Handsets using your Handset’s International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) Number for android phones, whereas for iPhone users only the device name, to ensure that your account can only be accessed through your registered Handset.
  • Never give your Handset to anyone for using the Mobile Banking Services. In case of any breach due to this act the Bank shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage which may consequently occur.
  • Never leave the Handset unattended while you are using Mobile Banking Service.
  • Always set strong passwords that may include alpha-numeric, special, upper / lower case characters.
  • Customers can login to HabibMetro Mobile Application through their User ID/ Password, whereas for customer convenience, Quick PIN and Finger Print authentication has also been provided.

However, User ID/ Password should be the preferred choice for logging in to the application. Note, Finger Print option rely on the functionality of individual’s cell phone, therefore any inherent risk associated with this option shall be owned by the respective user.

  • Always change your Login Passwords regularly and shall do so whenever the Bank requires you to do so.
  • Never reveal your password/Pin number on phone call, we will never urge any phone banking agent to ask such information.
  • Habib Metro will never call on your number to reset your mobile banking password.
  • Do not consider PINs legitimate from sources other than 9355/8462.
  • Emails will always be sent through “habibmetro.com” domain.
  • Do not respond to or give your user / password information to any message received from any source other than 9355/8462.

To ensure that access your Bank Accounts using the Mobile Banking Service, you must adopt and maintain the following security procedures and such other guidelines all the times as may be provided in this regard by the Bank.

Facilities and informationresources are required by the employees to expand on the knowledge and analyze the information. This also provides the means to interact with customers and other people. Theopen access to the information is needed for conducting the business of the companyeffectively and for well-informed business management; this however brings the risk ofaccidental or deliberate actions that can damage the Bank and its customers.

Mobile Banking Security Guidelines

  • Never leave the Handset unattended while you are using Mobile Banking Service.
  • Never download mobile banking application from any third party websites, this may pose a serious threat to your mobilebanking account.
  • Never click on malicious URL on mobile phones to avoid malware infection.

Securing your Passwords:

  • Always set strong passwords that may include alpha-numeric, special, upper / lower case characters.
  • Always change your Login Passwords regularly and shall do so whenever the Bank requires you to do so.
  • Always use passwords different from your previous passwords at the time of password change.
  • Never store your user password on your mobile handset for automatic login of Mobile Banking Application
  • Never reveal your password/Pin number on phone call, we never urge any phone banking agent to ask such information.
  • User ID/ Password should be the preferred choice for logging in to the application.

Note, Finger Print option rely on the functionality of individual’s cell phone, therefore any inherent risk associated with this option shall be owned by the respective user.

  • If you notice that your Login Password or any part of them are known to someone else, you must immediately change the Login Password or you must notify the Bank immediately by calling on our 24/7 call center: 0800-42242 (HABIB)(+9221) 111 142 242.

Identity Theft

HABIBMETRO MOBILE BANKING APP Registration Procedures

Customers enrolled in HabibMetro Web Banking Services will be entitled to use HabibMetro Mobile Banking App with the same Web Banking Username & Password by following few easy steps.

Step # 1      Login into “HabibMetro Web Banking” with your existing Username & Password.
Step # 2     After successful login, go to “Subscriptions” tab for Mobile Devices enrollment and fill the required fields. For Android users, device type, IMEI number (all IMEI numbers in case of dual sim) and device name is required to be entered. IMEI number can be retrieved by dialing *#06# on android phone.

Whereas, for iPhone users, only device type and device name is required.

Step # 3     Click on “Get Verification Code” for generating “One Time Password (OTP)” which will be received on your registered mobile number &/or email address with the Bank.

Step # 4     Enter Verification Code in the required field & click “Save Change” by agreeing Terms & Conditions.

Step # 5     After successfully registering mobile device, download HabibMetro Mobile Banking App from Google Play Store &/or iOS App Store according to the mobile device operating software.

Note:

HabibMetro customers, who are not enrolled in HabibMetro Web Banking Services, will be required to enroll themselves in Web Banking Services by visiting their account maintaining branch for availing Mobile Banking App services.
