All HABIBMETRO VISA Debit Cards (Platinum, Gold and Premium) are enabled with 3D Secure Service powered by VBV (Verified by Visa). Now use your HABIBMETRO Visa Debit Card on the internet with more confidence.

With this service, whenever you use your HABIBMETRO Visa Debit Card on any 3D Secure enabled website for internet / online transaction, a 6-Digits One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to you via email &/or SMS on your registered email &/or mobile number with HABIBMETRO and you have to enter that OTP to complete your transaction.

Prerequisite for Performing 3d Secure Internet / Online Transaction:

  • Customer should hold & avail HABIBMETRO Visa Debit Card
  • Customer should have enrolled in SMS Alert Service and register his/her valid mobile number & email address with the Bank
  • Customer should have activated his/her Debit card for internet/online transactions by calling HABIBMETRO Call Centre at 111-1-(HABIB) 42242 or through HABIBMETRO Web Banking Services / Mobile App.

EASY STEPS TO USE 3D SECURE SERVICE:

Step 1: Visit 3D Secure enabled website

Step 2: Place your order and enter your HABIBMETRO Visa Debit Card Details

Step 3: Click Proceed and 3D Secure enabled website will route the information to HABIBMETRO for verification

Step 4: A prompt Screen will appear and ask you to select SMS or email to receive One Time Password

Step 5: After receiving 6-digit OTP, enter your OTP and click on the submit button after agreeing on Terms & Conditions

Step 6: After submission, your 3D Secure payment will be processed

Note: You will only receive an OTP for internet-based transactions on 3D Secure enabled websites. For non-3D Secure enabled websites, you will not go through the OTP authentication process.

  • 3D Secure Service is a security layer for internet transactions powered by “Verified by Visa” (VBV). While using your HABIBMETRO VISA Debit Card for internet-based transactions, it provides you with an added protection from unauthorized internet-based transactions.

    This service is used to confirm the authenticity of internet transactions by sending a One-Time Password (OTP) to your registered mobile number or email address, which will be required before process any transaction.

  • First, activate your HABIBMETRO VISA Debit Card for internet/online transactions by calling HABIBMETRO Call Centre at 111-1-(HABIB) 42242 or through HABIBMETRO Web Banking Services / Mobile App, then go to the website you want to perform your internet transaction. While performing the transaction for online purchasing/payment, usually after checkout, you will be asked to enter your necessary card details (cardholder name, card number, card expiry date, CVV code etc.). After submitting the details, you will be requested to enter OTP that has been sent to your registered mobile number and/or email address. Upon submission of OTP, the transaction will be processed.

  • The 3D Secure service is available on all variants of HABIBMETRO VISA Debit Cards.

  • There is no need for separate registration to avail 3D Secure Service. All you need to do is to enrol in SMS Alert Service and register your valid mobile number & email address with HABIBMETRO, so you can receive the OTP required to perform the transaction.

  • You can visit your HABIBMETRO account-maintaining branch to update your email address and/or mobile number.

  • There is no charge for this service.

  • No, 3D Secure PIN is an OTP that is generated every time you perform online / internet transaction. This is not the PIN that you use with your HABIBMETRO VISA Debit Card while performing ATM / POS transactions.

  • One Time Password (OTP) is consisting of a randomly generated 6-digit online verification code, which will be sent to your registered mobile number, and/or email address before executing any internet-based transaction.

  • An OTP will be valid for 10 minutes only, after which the OTP needs to be reinitiated.

  • You will only receive an OTP for internet-based transactions on 3D Secure enabled websites. For non – 3D Secure enabled websites, you will not go through the OTP authentication process.

  • Visa Card Secure Code and Verified by Visa (VBV) logos will be displayed if you are performing an internet-based transaction on a 3D Secure enabled website.

  • If you do not receive your OTP, you may click the “Resend OTP” button on the authentication screen to request a new OTP.

  • You have three attempts to enter the correct OTP. After three incorrect attempts, your transaction will be cancelled, and you will need to reinitiate the transaction with a new OTP.

  • This message is most commonly displayed when:

    ·        Your mobile number and/or email address is not available in Bank’s records

    ·        You have not activated your HABIBMETRO VISA Debit card for internet/online transactions by calling HABIBMETRO Call Centre at 111-1-(HABIB) 42242 or through HABIBMETRO Web Banking Services / Mobile App

    ·        Your card is blocked/expired

    We recommend that you contact HABIBMETRO Call Centre 111-1-(HABIB) 42242 if none of the above will apply or if you need any assistance in rectifying any of the above.

  • Please call HABIBMETRO Call Centre at 111-1-(HABIB) 42242 immediately to block your HABIBMETRO VISA Debit Card.

  • Yes, you will receive an OTP. However, you may incur roaming charges (if any) from your mobile service provider.

  • An OTP via SMS / email will only be sent to your registered mobile number and/or email address with the Bank.

  • Yes, your additional cardholder will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number and/or email address.
